- ect.
- Lack of sleep
- Burn out
- Insomnia
- Elevated stress levels
- Lack of daily movement
- Medical reasons
Now that we’ve discussed signs and common reasons for low energy, let’s get to the 6 ways to naturally increase your energy!
1. Get more sleep

Now depending on the season of life you are in, will depend on the length and quality of your nightly sleeps.
7-8 hours is the most recommended amount of sleep we all should be getting.
Observe what time you go to bed and when you wake up. How many hours are you getting? How do you feel about the quality of the sleep you get?
If you’re trying to survive on less than 6 hours of sleep, chances are you’re low on energy, maybe feeling it other areas of your health.
If you struggle to sleep at night, here are a few things you can try:
- Create a slow night time routine
- Shut off screens at least 30 minutes before going to bed
- Read and/or meditate to relax your mind
- Drink water 2 hours before bed
Now if you’re in a season of motherhood with littles who don’t sleep the greatest, I know getting sleep is easier said than done. All you can do is do your best at getting quality sleep when you can, even if it’s less than recommended.
2. Get more movement
Our bodies build strength and stamina by our daily movements. If for some reason you start getting less movement in your day, it could be causing you energy levels to dip.
If you spend more time sitting or laying down in your day, it’s important to get intentional about getting movement in your day.
You don’t need to do anything crazy right away. Start small with maybe walking or shorter workouts. Then build more into them as time goes on.

You will find the right balance of exercise and rest for your body!
3. Drink more water
This is one of those we all know and have heard many, many times.
It’s no secret our bodies need proper hydration and water is the way to get it. After all, our bodies are made of 90% water!
If you desire something that has flavor, try infusing your water with your choice of electrolytes, fruit infused, or any healthy flavor packet.
4. Eat better foods
We eat everyday, multiple times a day. But are you eating foods that actually fuel your body and give you energy you need?
Food affects everything. Our bodies, minds, and our energy.
Start noticing how certain foods make you feel. Eating over processed and packed foods that don’t contain enough nutrients all the time can really start to effect not just your energy, but your overall health.
Start incorporating more nutrient dense foods in your daily life and see how much better you can feel!
5. Create a morning routine
You don’t have to be a ‘morning person’ to have a morning routine.

A morning routine is just the way you start your day. It doesn’t need to be complicated and filled with a lot of things.
Just a routine that’s relaxing and helps you get a productive start to your day!
I have personally found that when I have a slow, calm start to the day before the beautiful chaos of being a mom starts, I am much more relaxed, and ready to tackle the day ahead!
6. Lessen your scrolling time
When you spend too much time scrolling social media and/or consuming information from a screen, it can cause over stimulation in the brain.
When your brain is over stimulated, your mental health could potentially take a down turn causing anxiety and depression.
Try limiting how much time you’re spending on your phone, especially before bed.
I hope you try out and enjoy these 6 ways to naturally increase your energy! (Remember your energy won’t increase over night but over time!)
